Um, so my weak Goblin magic sensing ability had a big jolt! There was a major surge of magic from all directions, so powerful that even my weak magic sensing ability picked it up.

Once I recovered from the shock, I decided it would probably be a good idea to investigate and try to figure out what happened. I was at Hilltop at the time, and the magic felt a little stronger from the south, so I flew off to the south to investigate.

About 3000 blocks from spawn I discovered a sheer cliff, like the whole world just disappeared at that line and was replaced with something completely different. It was pretty easy to see the line of change extended a long way east and west, so I followed the line to see where it ends. After a long journey, during which I made a new feathered friend called Jack Parrot, I worked out that the anomaly goes all the way around spawn. It’s a perfect square around coordinates 0,0 stretching 6000 blocks on each side.

The world beyond the line looks really good, with all manner of never before seen biomes, so exploration is going to be fun.
